How to Successfully Take a Test Online

Your child may be used to taking tests in class, but taking them online can throw them off. To help your child do their best on their next online test, teach them these tips.

Set up Your Space

Before they start their test, remind your child to set up their area. Doing this before their test starts will ensure they have all the items they will need within reach. This means they won't have to get up to look for anything and won't waste time. Have them create a checklist of items so that they're sure they have everything they'll need.

Watch the Time

Most tests have a time limit, so remind your child to keep track of the time. They can set a timer to stay on top of it all much more easily. It can also help to remind them to look up at the time every once in a while so that they don't lose track of the time.

Have a Plan

Finally, it's never a bad idea to plan ahead in case of an emergency. For example, if your child is working on a laptop, remind them to keep a charger nearby just in case. Similarly, losing the wifi signal can lead to disaster, so have a backup plan in case this happens.
